Tool/Element
Explanation
Map Tools Click or click-and-drag on the map with the tool to move the center of the map.

Map Tools Zooms the map back to the previous map extent.

Map Tools
Click on the map with this tool to select a parcel to buffer. The parcels
within the user-specified distance will be found and displayed on the map, and
a basic description of these parcels will be displayed. Modify the
buffer distance in the box in the righthand pane.

within the user-specified distance will be found and displayed on the map, and

Map Tools Click on the map with this tool to identify a parcel on the
map. Information from the County Tax system, and features from all
selected layers will be displayed.
Map Tools Clears out all selected features.
Map Tools Prints a map of a selected parcel with all database and selected map layer
information.
Map Tools Note on map tools: Once you click on a tool, that tool becomes active and will take the
appropriate action (zoom in, identify, etc.) until you select another tool.

Explanation
Property Search/Identify
Enables you to enter a parcel ID. Once submitted, finds parcels by
book/page, locates a single parcel, or locates a parcel containing mobile
homes, businesses, or timeshares. The Help button provides examples of valid
parcel numbers. Once a result is returned, you may click on the parcel ID(s) to
locate the parcel on the map.
Property Search/Identify
Enables you to enter owner name (last name first) and when submitted finds
parcels with matching owner names. You may enter the first part of the owner
last name only. Search options include searching by primary owner, all owners,
or business name(s). Once a result is returned, you may click on the parcel
ID(s) to locate the parcel on the map.
Property Search/Identify
Select a community, select a street, then select an address. The matching
parcel will be displayed. Click on the parcel to locate it on the map.
Property Search/Identify
Enter an address. When submitted, finds the parcels matching the entry.
Click on the Help Button for assistance.
Property Search/Identify
Enter a Parcel Number. When submitted, finds parcels within the specified
buffer range. Follow the instructions on the screen to buffer a parcel.

Explanation
Layer Select/Query
Available layers are displayed. Make layers visible by clicking the
checkbox. Once the Refresh Map button activates, clicking it will refresh the
map. You may continue to add or remove layers. Note: Buffering resets all layer
settings to default.

Additional Links Tax Link
Once you have selected a parcel for display. You can click on the Tax link for
additional Megabyte Tax System taxroll information. Click on the x
to close the new window.

Data Display Text/Layer Attributes
Displays data from the Megabyte System for a specific parcel. Also returns
information for all selected map layers from the GIS. A link is provided for
downloading buffer mailing lists only. The download file is in
comma-separated-value (.csv) format, which can be used in Excel, Word and other
applications for such purposes as mail-label creation. Print displays include
both database information and selected map layers.

Status Bar Latitude Longitude Display
Shows latitude and longitutde as you move the cursor around the map.
Status Bar Coordinates Display
Shows coordinates in map units and in pixel units as you move the cursor around
the map.
